As many of you know I live with a chronic illness and after learning so many things that affect it as its part of the autoimmune system. I never thought that about the makeup or skin products that I put on my body until I had my daughter. I also had eczema as a kid and always had sensitive skin. My daughter also has eczema and I hated having to use steroids cream on myself let alone my daughter.
After having my daughter my skin just felt so gross and was not happy with the products I was using and started researching and trying everything under the sun. I started realizing that there where chemicals in products I was using. I thought that this stuff was governed by some sort of process the government put in place. I was shocked to find products that chemicals that I could not believe were allowed in these products that were sold to people everywhere. I was shocked and found this app called EWG that you could look up the products you are using and to see what was in them. I literally went through everything and was shocked to find that nothing I was using was safe. I was on mission to clean up the products my daughter and myself were using.
Thats when I found BeautyCounter not only were they on mission to change how skincare and makeup products and the laws behind what chemicals should be banned. I was blown away and went all in, literally tried everything and the best part was that they also had baby/kids products. I wanted to try and see if these products really worked and if my skin was better. In just a few days I could see a diffrence and that was it I switched everything out and started a #saferbeauty life.
